Informational meetings slated on Prop A

The Mehlville School District will sponsor 17 informational meetings regarding the district’s proposed 97-cent tax-rate in-crease that voters will consider Tuesday, Feb. 7.

At each meeting, Superintendent Tim Ricker or another district administrator will present information about the ballot measure, called Proposition A for academics.

A district-produced informational video also will be presented, followed by a question-and-answer period. Each meeting is scheduled to last an hour, with district officials remaining afterward to answer individual questions.

The first meeting will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Bierbaum Accelerated Elementary School, 2050 Union Road. The remaining meetings will take place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. next week over three consecutive nights.
