The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 6 p.m. today to 9 a.m. Sunday, with snow and ice likely.
Up to an inch of snow could accumulate in St. Louis County and surrounding areas, with up to 3 inches in northeast Missouri. Up to two-tenths of an inch of ice could also accumulate overnight in southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois with “freezing drizzle” and rain.
Travelers are warned to be prepared for reduced visibility and difficult travel conditions.
Besides St. Louis County and city, the affected counties include Jefferson, Madison, St. Charles, Franklin, Lincoln, Crawford, Iron, Knox, Lewis, Pike, Reynolds, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Warren and Washington.
