Kathleen F. Hughes and James Hudson were married June 18 at St. Mary Star of Sea Catholic Church in Astoria, Ore., by the Rev. Ted Prentice.

The matron of honor was Bridget Hughes Nery, daughter of the bride.

The flower girl was Emily Hughes, grand-daughter of the bride.

The best man was Ken Larson, son-in-law of the groom.

The ringbearer was Carter Davis, grandson of bride.

Readings were conducted by James Cummings and Marsha Cummings.

A reception was at The Loft in Red Building in Astoria, Ore.

The couple honeymooned at Whistler Mountain in British Columbia, Canada.

The 175 guests were from 11 states and included all three children of the bride, all three children of the groom, all seven of the bride’s grandchildren and four of the groom’s great-grandchildren.

The couple reside in Hammond, Ore.

They are both retired. She is retired from Liturgical Publications of St. Louis was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church and the South County YMCA for more than 30 years.
