‘Hoop Sloop’ to benefit Project Graduation

Lindbergh High School teachers will pair off against their archrivals, the faculty at Sperreng Middle School, during the annual “Faculty Hoop Sloop.”

The Project Graduation basketball fund-raiser will begin at 6:30 p.m. today — Jan. 15 — in Gym 3 at Lindbergh High School, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

Entertainment will be provided by faculty cheerleaders, high school cheerleaders, Sperreng’s Star Team, the high school Pep Band, the Lindbergh Break Dancers, members of the Guitar Club, the high school Fly Girls and a surprise from the senior boys, according to a district news release.

The annual elementary hula hoop contest also will take place during the game.

Tickets cost $3 for adults and $2 for pupils in kindergarten through 12th grade with a maximum charge of $10 for families. District passes will not be accepted for this event.

Proceeds from the event will go to fund the Project Graduation Party, an all-night drug- and alcohol-free party for the Class of 2004.

Dinner will be available for purchase in the cafeteria starting at 5:30 p.m.
