Home for the Holidays Craft Show marks 25 years

The 25th annual Home for the Holidays Craft Show will take place Friday, Oct. 7, and Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Estates at Arrowhead clubhouse in Oakville.

The annual show started in 1986 in west county with a few friends offering handmade crafts while raising their families.

The show moved to Oakville in 1987 and has remained there ever since, first in members’ homes before it grew and rental facilities had to be used.

For the past 15 years, the event has been at the Estates at Arrowhead clubhouse.

Only one crafter, Audrey Paugh, remains from the original group in 1986. This year’s show also will feature works by Sharon Frailey, Diane Buettner, Julie Allen, Anne Wolter, Dorothy Arnold, Joann Childress, Sue Myer, Teresa Willoughby, Sharon James, Kathy Bruce, Dina Lanzendorf, Jennifer Lutker, Patricia Davidson, Carol Senkerik and Deanna and Ross Litz.

The 25th annual show will take place from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

To reach the clubhouse from Interstate 255 and Telegraph Road, go south five miles and turn left on Championship Boulevard to Arrowhead Golf Course Drive.

Then turn left and follow the signs.
