Historical Society to present ‘Tombstone Tales’

Prominent Sappington settlers and farmers will come alive to share their stories at “Tombstone Tales,” sponsored by the Sappington-Concord Historical Society, from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at St. Lucas United Church of Christ, 11735 Denny Road.

During the event, society members will discuss the lives of six historical figures from the Sappington area who settled and farmed the land and surrounding area.

They will dress in the manner of the period, standing by the tombstones of the person they are representing, and “come alive” to tell his or her tale. For additional information, call (636) 458-2215.
