Henry G. Hartman, 86, died Oct. 7.

Mr. Hartman was born April 11, 1928, and was a resident of Friendship Village Sunset Hills. He attended Gardenville Elementary School and Cleveland High School, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Hartman was employed by Union Electric for 42 years. He was a member of Redeemer Evangelical Church, 2x2s, and served as athletic teams manager and a Boy Scout leader. He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn (nee Henke); Eagle Scout sons, Stephen (Michelle) and Bruce (Pamela); and grandchildren, Matthew and Brandon. He was the brother-in-law of the late Carl, Floyd, Wyman, August and Oscar (U.S. Navy ensign) Henke.

Services were at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, south county. Internment was in St. Paul Churchyard with full military honors. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Evangelical Church, 6450 S. Kingshighway, St. Louis, Mo. 63109.
