Former Rep. Carl H. Hendrickson will present a continuing education course through St. Louis Community College-Meramec about “Politics and Politicking.”

The class, HIST 710 630, will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. on two consecutive Tuesdays — Feb. 3 and Feb. 10 — at Mehlville Senior High School, 3200 Lemay Ferry Road.

“This two-session course will discuss the history of political parties, how they are set up locally, statewide and nationally, and what it takes to become a candidate and run for political office,” Hendrickson said, noting his book on politics will be used as a study guide for the class.

Hendrickson told the Call that the purpose for writing his book and teaching the class is better government.
