Helen Pearl Town-send (nee Partney), 80, died May 10.
Born in Iron Coun-ty, Mrs. Townsend resided in St. Louis.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Lyle and Sue Townsend, Jim and Ida Townsend, John and Jan Townsend and Gary and Yvonne Townsend; daughter, Candace Townsend; brother, Robert Partney; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
A memorial service was conducted in the garden of St. Anthonys Hospice.
Her ashes were buried at Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Ironton. Donations may be made to St. Anthonys Hospice.
