Alivia Casby, daughter of Bob and Lisa Casby, will participate in America’s Best State Pageant with Lisa Boyer in May.

Alivia, 8, attends second grade at Hancock Elementary School and enjoys nature, swimming, camping, riding her four-wheeler and spending time with her family, according to a news release.

Her favorite parts about pageantry are about making new friends, being center stage and showing her fun-loving personality, the release stated. She participates in poms and gymnastics.

Alivia also loves helping her community and collecting donations. She held a food drive at school and collected 606 canned goods for Feed My People. In addition, she collected food and blankets for local animal shelters, and she loves reading to senior citizens.

Alivia helped collect $880 for the Oklahoma tornado victims, and collected 305 personal and baby items for new moms at shelters.

She is setting up another canned food drive this May, hoping to beat her goal.
