Hagemann Elementary School fifth-graders will host a “buy one, get one free” Scholastic Book Fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, at Affton Christian Church, 9625 Tesson Ferry Road.
Funds raised will help purchase books for Ready Readers, whose purpose is to inspire preschool children from low-income communities to develop a love of books. Families, faculty and the community are invited to attend this fun reading event that helps inspire children to become lifelong readers, according to a news release.
Saturday’s Book Fair will offer specially priced books from more than 100 publishers, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, adult bestsellers and more. The event will feature a special BOGO opportunity with contests, read-alouds and raffles. Clifford the Big Red Dog will make an appearance from 11a.m. to noon.
