Gravois Kiwanis Club awards scholarships

The Gravois Kiwanis Club recently presented four $1,000 scholarships, including the Richard Proetz Memorial Scholarship, to graduating high school seniors to continue their educations. This year’s recipients, from left, are: Tim Walden of Hancock High School, Kiersten Mauer of Affton High School, Amel Gracanin of Bayless High School and Keenan McBurney of Lutheran High School South. Over the years, the club has awarded over $89,000 to graduating seniors. The Richard Proetz Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Richard Proetz, a Gravois Kiwanis Club member for over 60 years.

    The Gravois Kiwanis Club recently presented four $1,500 scholarships, including the Richard Proetz Memorial Scholarship, to graduating high school seniors to continue their educations. The recipients, from left, are: Samantha K. Rogers of Hancock Place High School, Lauren E. Becker of Affton High School, Jessica S. Reed of Affton High School and Samantha Lanham of Bayless High School. Over the years, the Gravois Kiwanis Club has awarded more than $83,000 to graduating high school seniors to continue their education. The Richard Proetz Memorial Scholarship was founded in memory of Richard Proetz, a Gravois Kiwanis Club member for more than 60 years.
