‘Grassroots’ Povich: May the Lord have mercy on Green Park City Hall

In the New Testament of the Holy Bible, I’ve read Jesus warning people of wolves in sheep’s clothing.

This is also applicable for the residents of the fourth-class or maybe no-class municipality of Green Park. There has been rhetoric of all the advantages of incorporating and some have even pandered and solicited for annexation — as if enough wasn’t done to those already residing in the perimeter of Green Park.

The problem is not so much as the county government per se, but the present council, the county executive and the assessor’s office.

It has been almost 14 years since the big hoodwink of the Green Park incorporation. The Ronnie Hills subdivision has been virtually destroyed due to ambition and greed. A large portion on Flori Drive was rezoned from residential to commercial. This rezoning was never to happen.

Ironically, the wolves in sheep’s clothing guaranteed the residents on Patsy Drive it was to be closed back down. It never happened — nor was it ever intended. Instead, Patsy Drive is open to multiple business apartment complexes, nursing-home employees and four Green Park subdivisions.

There is a point of germane importance — integrity. As the Holy Bible states, “What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?”

Do you hear this “la casa de Diablos” at 11100 Mueller Road?

May the Lord have mercy on you all.
