The St. Matthias sixth-grade girls’ volleyball team capped off a terrific season by winning the 2002 city-county championship. The girls started the season by winning the preseason tournament at Mary, Mother of the Church, then took first place in their league. They followed that up with winning the South County District title and then the city-county championship.
