Girl Scouts and their families can nominate their troop leader, co-leader or assistant leader to be considered for the Outstanding Leader Award in their neighborhood.

To nominate a leader in the Affton, Bayless, Hancock or Mehlville school districts or a parochial school in the same area, send the nomination to Girl Scout Outstanding Leader, 2351 Hempline Court, St. Louis, Mo. 63129. Nominations must be submitted by March 31.

The candidate’s name, troop number and school, as well as information about the nominee’s leadership, communication and membership skills, must be included in a written account, along with the name and phone number of the person submitting the nomination.

Two members of the nominee’s troop or two members of the girls’ families also must submit letters of endorsement in about 100 words, noting the outstanding leadership qualities of the candidate in de-livering the Girl Scout program and the results achieved.
