Girl Scouts honor adult volunteers

Nine adult volunteers recently were honored for their contributions to Girl Scout-ing in south county at the annual District 1 recognition dinner.

The Honor Pin, the highest district award for an active adult member, was awarded to Pat Kiszczak. Appreciation pins for dedicated and devoted service were presented to Tina Ahlemeyer, Georgette Buechlein and Gerrie Gradle.

Outstanding volunteer award recognitions were given to Jill Castleberry, Linda Fallert, Jean Kuehnle and Jean Nickell.

Theresa DiNapoli was recognized as a recipient of the Gold Laurel Award from the Girl Scout Council of Greater St. Louis. The award is the highest council award for superior contribution of outstanding, unusual and lasting service.

Mary Crabtree was honored with a plaque for her long and dedicated service to District 1.

District 1 includes the Affton, Bayless, Hancock and Mehlville school districts and parochial schools within those school districts. The 50 adults present at the re-cent dinner represented 695 years of volunteer service to Girl Scouting.
