Hidden backyard treasures abound in the Lindbergh High School Mothers’ Club Garden Tour, which will take place Satur-day, June 4.

The tour, which features seven local gardens, a gourmet box lunch in the Armistead Courtyard at Lindbergh High School, a plant sale and boutique, runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The gardens include a wide variety of features, including English sitting gardens and stone fountains, to ponds and a two-story waterfall. Perennials, herbs, annuals, climbing roses, shrubs, trees and bushes invite visitors to pause and drink in the quiet beauty of the featured gardens.

Ornamental grasses, stone walls, statuary, stained glass and special water elements also will delight visitors.

An extra stop also is featured on this year’s tour, the Claire Gempp Davidson Conser-vation Area, 9227 Sappington Road.

The 13.5-acre property is operated by the city of Sunset Hills in cooperation with Lindbergh School District and the Missouri Conservation Department. It features a large gazebo for an outdoor classroom, wet-land, prairie restoration area and instructional signage along the trails.

Admission is $18. For tickets and information, call Bonnie Raineri at (314) 842-7454.
