Garden club installs Blue Star marker

The Mehlville Garden Club, working with the St. Louis County Parks Department, installed a Blue Star memorial marker in memory of the military at the Old Ordnance Room Museum in Jefferson Barracks Park. A garden has been maintained since and, with assistance from the quarry, a large stone bench has been placed under the tree for a sanctuary. During the months of April through October each year, Mehlville Garden Club members maintain the garden area. Members assisting this year are pictured above from left to right, back row: Christine Linnebach, Jean Kovarik, Dot Dormley, Yvonne Wagner, Laverne Ehlmann, Annemarie Bertick. Warren and Doug Wolter, with the Parks Department, acquired and installed the memorial marker.
