Fred Niemeyer, 82, died May 20.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Niemeyer was a lifelong resident. He was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Peggy J. Niemeyer (nee Doyle); sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Jenny Niemeyer, Terry and Pam Nie-meyer, and James and Candy Niemeyer; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Services and visitation were at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons, south county. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks Na-tional Cemetery.
