Kennerly Elementary School students sold spirit towels Friday night during the Lindbergh High School football game.
All of the proceeds will go to support the fourth annual Sunday Night Lights event that gives children with life-threatening illnesses a “night under the lights” as they experience the thrill of participating in a high school football game.
This year’s event will take place Sept. 22 at the Lindbergh High School Flyers stadium, 5000 S. Lindbergh Blvd. It is free and open to the public.
Festivities begin at 4 p.m. for participants, and the field opens at 6:15 p.m. to the public for the pregame festivities and the big game.
