Voters will have at least two chances this month to hear the platforms and ask questions of the candidates running for St. Louis County assessor.
The University of Missouri-St. Louis and the League of Women Voters will sponsor a candidate forum at 7 p.m. today — March 10 — at the UMSL Millennium Student Center, 1 University Blvd., 63121. The league will moderate the forum.
Candidates running for assessor in the April 5 election are Democratic state Rep. Jake Zimmerman and Republican L.K. “Chip” Wood.
The Affton and Lemay chambers of commerce also will sponsor a candidate forum this month for the assessor’s race.
That forum is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, in the Bayless High School auditorium, 4530 Weber Road.
