John and Maria Wendl celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 9 during a dinner at SqWires Restaurant that was attended by members of their immediate family who traveled from Chicago and Los Angeles as well as those who live in St. Louis.
Hosts of the dinner were Victor Wendl and Norman and Christine Wendl.
Mr. Wendl retired from Anheuser-Busch in 1999 where he worked for 34 years as an engineer.
Mrs. Wendl retired in 1999 from the offices of Bussen Accounting where she worked for 14 years.
