To the editor:

As a former member of the state Legislature and as a resident of the 96th legislative district, I urge others in the district to join me in voting for Dan Reuter on Aug. 2. Dan is a friend. But it is more than friendship that qualifies him for this position.

Dan is a longtime area resident; more than 30 years. He has been married to his wife, Pat, for over 40 years. They have made their home in our community and have raised their children here. Dan has been involved in his church and in our community. He understands the people and their needs. And, they in turn, respect him.

Dan is senior partner in a successful elder law and estate planning law firm. As the community population ages, it will be advantageous to have someone in Jefferson City who understands the problems and needs of an aging population.

On Aug. 2, please vote — and please vote for Dan Reuter for state representative in the 96th District on the Republican ballot.
