Green Park officials and residents honored former Mayor Tony Konopka for his service to the city during last week’s Board of Aldermen meeting. Roughly 50 residents jammed into City Hall for the Oct. 15 tribute to Konopka, who served as mayor from 2007 until August. A proclamation presented to Konopka by Mayor Bob Reinagel noted the former mayor’s service to the city dated back to Green Park’s inception in 1995. Konopka also was presented a Missouri House resolution by Rep. Cloria Brown and a state Senate resolution by John Judd of Sen. Jim Lembke’s office.
