Firefighters hone rescue skills

Mehville Fire Protection District firefighters from the district’s Strike and Rope Rescue teams spent three days last week practicing their confined-space rescue skills at the No. 4 firehouse on Tesson Ferry Road. The firehouse, completed early last year, features a mezzanine on the rear wall of the station that allows crews to practice confined-space rescues and interior ladder maneuvers. Mem-bers of the Affton and Fenton fire protection districts also participated in the training.
