Financial forum planned by Lindbergh board

A financial forum sponsored by the Lindbergh Board of Education will be conducted next week.

The public forum, designed to solicit comments from district residents about the potential need for a tax-rate increase in the upcoming April 5 election, will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, in the Anne Mor-row Lindbergh Room on the Lindbergh High campus, 4900 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

Pat Lanane, Lindbergh’s assistant superintendent for finance and the school district’s chief financial officer, will review the district’s current financial position and projected finances for the next year.

He also will summarize a report from Lindbergh’s Citizens’ Budget Committee, which recommended the board seek a tax-rate increase.

After the brief presentation, residents will be invited to address the board with any questions or comments.
