John Allen, a fifth-grader at Trautwein Accelerated Elementary School, recently won the 11-year-old boys’ division of a free-throw championship contest sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
He participated in the Father Griffin Council No. 3586 competition at the Assumption Parish Center. As a level champion, the fifth-grader was chosen to represent the Father Griffin Council in the District 40 Knights of Columbus free-throw championship competition, where he finished second.
He is the son of Joan and Rich Allen.
