Federer will study at Oxford

Jessica Joy Federer, 21, daughter of Bill and Sue Federer of Oakville, recently left for Oxford University in Oxford, England, where she will continue her studies.

Federer, a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish and a Cor Jesu Academy graduate, is a fifth-generation St. Louisan. She is a student of public health and health policy and will be focusing her studies on ethics and medical philosophy while overseas. She hopes to continue to keep health-care reform a priority for St. Louis.

Federer, who had the honor of greeting Pope John Paul II on his St. Louis visit, also works for the American Red Cross, the National Association for State Health Policy and her father’s campaign for the Republican nomination for the 3rd Congressional District seat.
