Visitors to the second annual Suson Farm Fair Saturday, Oct. 4, at Suson Park, 6073 Wells Road, will receive a taste of what life is like on the farm.

The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include a “Best Dressed Farm Family Contest” at 12:15 p.m.

Other events will include butter churning, goat milking, spinning, horseshoeing, hayrides, “Rope the Steer,” “Needle in a Haystack,” and pedal tractor races. Barn tours will be available all day and visitors will be able to meet “Peanut Butter” the horse, “Junior” the bull and other animals.

Admission includes country music by DJ “Big Earl” Mangrum, tours, demonstrations, entertainment, presentations, pony rides, games and children’s prizes.

Advance tickets cost $4 for those 13 and older and $3 for ages 3 to 12, while children 2 years old and younger are admitted free. Tickets cost $1 more on the day of the event. Advance tickets may be purchased calling 638-2100 or 894-3639.
