Amanda Garner, daughter of Craig and Melissa Garner of Clarinda, Iowa, and Andrew Howell, son of Lou and Mary Howell of Oakville, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Garner, of Clarinda, Iowa, earned a bachelor of health science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and a master of science degree in education for the deaf and hard of hearing from Missouri State University. She is employed by the Meramec Valley School District of Pacific as a teacher for the deaf and hard of hearing.
Her fiancé, Howell, is a graduate of De Smet High School and earned a bachelor of arts degree in banking and finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is employed by the Boeing Co. as a supply chain specialist.
The couple plan an Oct. 18 wedding at the Wabash Winery in Shenandoah, Iowa.
