Died: Wednesday, September 29, 2004

Emmitt J. “Junie’’ Garth, 71, died Sept. 29.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Garth resided in St. Louis. He was a member of the Elevator Constructors, Local 3, Laclede Council Knights of Columbus 1196, 4th degree Knights of Columbus, Resurrection Men’s Club and the South Broadway Athletic Club.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Garth (nee Grothe); daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and Pete Walter, Kelly and Dan Randolph and Dana and Edward Beffa; sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Carol Garth and Kevin Garth; sisters and brother-in-law, Beverly Collet, Marion Wideman and Margaret and Milo Morgan; brother and sister-in-law, Edward F. and Marietta Garth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Shirley Grothe, Frank and Patti Grothe, Robert and Jeanne Grothe and Gerald and Mary Carol Grothe; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Paul Gittmeier, Margaret Kenney and Marilyn and Ronald Richter; cousin, Evelyn Rishert; and 10 grandchildren. Mr. Garth was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Steinmetz; brothers, George Faulkner, William Faulkner, Donald Faulkner and Alvin Garth; and sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Arleen and Ira Marshall, Clifford Grothe and Richard Kenney.

Services were conducted at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church. Visitation was at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons, south county. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
