Eight seek to fill vacancy on Lindbergh school board

Staff Report

Eight people are vying for the vacancy on the Lindbergh Board of Education, including former board Vice President Barry Cooper.

Former board member Drew Walk resigned from the position shortly after the April 5 election, stating in a letter that he’s moving out of the district.

The board planned to interview the eight candidates Tuesday — after the Call went to press — and will appoint someone to fill the remaining year of Walk’s term at its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10.

The seat normally carries a three-year term.

Besides Cooper, 12830 Tammy Kay Drive, 63128, the candidates are: Janine Fabick, 33 Maclane Court, 63127; Troy DuBose, 10842 Faraday Drive, 63123; Kara Horton Gotsch, 10716 Forest Circle Drive, 63127; Sandra Kay Frederich, 12166 Lowill Lane, 63126; Evelyn Yaeger, 4303 Wickerfield Drive, 63128; Frank Gregory, 9811 Eagle Crest Court, 63127; and Kevin Krueger, 12517 Davana Drive, 63128.

Cooper lost his bid for reelection last month.
