Eagle Scouts honored with House resolutions

Daniel Nieters and Michael Mueller re-cently were presented with Missouri House resolutions in honor of earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

Rep. Walt Bivins, R-Oakville, presented the resolutions to Nieters and Mueller during a recent Court of Honor ceremony.

“Daniel and Michael are both shining examples of the diligence and commitment to helping others that is essential in achieving the rank of Eagle Scout,” Bivins stated in a news release.

“They have grown into young men ready to make a difference in the world around them and it is a true honor to be able to recognize them for their accomplishments,” Bivins.

Nieters and Mueller are members of Boy Scout Troop 169. They successfully met the requirements to attain Eagle Scout status by completing their Eagle projects.

Nieter’s project consisted of landscaping, painting, erecting and repairing a fence at Pony Bird, a residential facility for individuals with disabilities.

Mueller’s project related to a keystone wall, landscaping and the multipurpose building marquee on Assumption Parish grounds.

Both young men earned the Ad Altare Dei award and induction into the Order of the Arrow.

In addition, Nieters earned a Mile Swim patch, a Veteran Camper Award and 25 merit badges. Mueller earned 21 merit badges.

Nieters is the son of Jay and Patty Nieters. Mueller is the son of Michael and Angela Mueller.

“I want to extend my sincere congratulations to both Daniel and Michael for this re-markable accomplishment,” Bivins stated. “They are representative of the fine young people who will be the leaders of tomorrow.”
