Do you want sprinkles with that?

When the Long Elementary School K-Kids decided to collect soda tabs for Ronald McDonald Charities, school Principal Brian McKenney made them a ‘sweet’ offer they couldn’t refuse. He told students he would let them turn him into a human ice-cream sundae if they collected 20 gallon-size bags of tabs for the charity. The K-Kids, who are affiliated with the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club, ended up filling 27 bags — 59 pounds in all. As a result, students recently filled the gym armed with whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate syrup, caramel and even a few cherries. McKenney was a good sport in his goggles, T-shirt and shorts, which were dripping by the end of the event.
