Do the Right Thing Program recognizes Hagemann

Hagemann Elementary School has been selected by the Do The Right Thing Program of Greater St. Louis Inc. as the 2009-2010 Missouri School of the Year.

This is the second consecutive time Hagemann has been named Missouri School of the Year. Hagemann staff members were presented the award at the program’s 2010-2011 Kickoff Breakfast last Friday at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park.

“We are very excited to receive this honor again this year,” Hagemann Principal Scott Andrews stated in a news release. “We spend so much time addressing character education in our school through the entire school year. It is so important to the Hagemann staff to promote to our students the importance of helping our fellow man and making good choices when the opportunity arises in their daily lives.”

Hagemann was selected to receive the honor because the school has submitted student nominations to the program every month for the past two years.
