Three Mehlville School District junior tennis players are on the 18-and-Under Intermediate team that recently captured the U.S. Tennis Association’s District Championship at the Chesterfield Athletic Club. The three Mehlville players — Emily Bartz-Mills of Oakville Senior High’s varsity tennis team, Sabina Okanovich of Mehlville Senior High’s varsity team and Adam Pleiman of Oakville Senior High’s varsity team — learned tennis through the community tennis program at Oakville Middle School. Mark Platt has been developing the community tennis program for more than 20 years and is looking forward to the new tennis court complex at Bernard Middle School.
