Karen DeMots, daughter of Glenn and Mary DeMots of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Bill Waelke, son of William and Margaret Waelke of St. Louis, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
DeMots of Grand Rapids, Mich., is a graduate of Michigan State University and is employed by Proviso Area for Exceptional Children of Maywood, Ill., as a school social worker.
Her fiancé, Waelke of St. Louis is a graduate of Washington University and currently a graduate student at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in Chicago, Ill.
The couple plan a July 19 wedding at Mayfair Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Mich.
