The Board of Directors of the Catholic Youth Council will present the 2004 Com-munity Service Award to Michael Kalist, executive director of the Catholic Youth Council.

Kalist has served the council for 41 years as an assistant sports director and sports director. He has been the CYC’s executive director since 1985.

Kalist works with all aspects of the CYC, including 30,000 Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, 70,000 children in sports and 12,000 adults who volunteer their services.

The 2004 Community Service Award will be presented at the CYC’s 10th annual banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club Wednesday, Dec. 8. Tickets cost $100. Call (314) 792-7611 for tickets.
