To the editor:
Oakbriar Meadows subdivision trash pickup will now be only once per week — not twice.
What is the fascination here in St. Louis County, trying to save money through our most important investment, our good health?
Most all county residents once lived in the city of St. Louis. Do we not remember it took the city more than 200 years to bring the vermin and foul odors under control? They have not been eliminated to this day.
Well, I do remember it. Our health department and most importantly our sanitation workers are the front line of defense and are the least appreciated for their good work.
Let’s quit kicking the same can down the road and look elsewhere for monetary savings. I’m sure we will all breathe better.
