Crestwood’s Pasta House becomes banquet room

The Pasta House Co. at Crestwood Court closed its doors this week as a regular restaurant to become a banquet room.

Sunday was the restaurant’s last day of normal operations. From now on it will be known as The Pasta House Co. Party Room and will be open only for private events by reservation, co-founder J. Kim Tucci said.

The company opened its Crestwood Court location in 1985. Tucci said business at the restaurant has declined as stores — notably anchors Dillard’s and Macy’s — have left the troubled mall in recent years.

However, he said the Pasta House Co.’s catering division has grown, and it’s already received a handful of requests to rent its location at the mall for parties.

Fletcher’s Kitchen & Tap is now Crestwood Court’s only restaurant. The mall’s food court is empty, and a Chevys Fresh Mex restaurant closed last fall after 15 years in business.
