To the editor:
On behalf of the congregation of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, we would like to thank the community of Crestwood for its generous support of our food pantry.
Your donations of canned goods and hygiene items during the “Santa Is Coming to Crestwood” event on Saturday, Dec. 5, and throughout the Christmas holidays was greatly appreciated and added over 150 items to our pantry.
These items are bagged and made available to individuals in need as they stop in our church for assistance.
Thank you, also, to the Christmas in Crestwood nonprofit organization for its incredible organizational skills in this project and for allowing us to be part of such a positive community event.
As a congregation, we are intent on being a more-involved partner in the community.
We look forward to additional opportunities to meet community needs and build relationships.
