A fire occurred at Imo’s Pizza in Crestwood late last night.

Fire Chief Karl Kestler said the establishment at 9600 Watson Road closed around 9:30 p.m. and the department received the call around 11 p.m.

The fire was under control around 11:30 p.m., the chief said.

Fire Department officials believe arcing in the electrical service panel in the rear of the building caused the fire, Kestler said.

Firefighters from the Fenton and Mehlville fire protection districts and the Glendale and Webster Groves fire departments assisted Crestwood on site, while Affton Fire Protection District firefighters moved to the Crestwood engine house to cover while city firefighters were on site.

As of now, Imo’s does not have a timetable for reopening.
