Crestwood Aquatic Center memberships on sale

The Crestwood Department of Parks and Recreation announces that Aquatic Center memberships and identification cards may be purchased by both residents and those living outside of Crestwood.

In addition, the department currently is offering a free, 14-day trial run for those who are interested in a membership, but are not sure if they will use it, according to a news release.

Any first-time applicant can stop at the Community Center, 9245 Whitecliff Lane, in Whitecliff Park to apply.

Trial memberships cannot be processed at the Aquatic Center, the release stated. Proof of Crestwood residency is required for resident memberships.

The Aquatic Center is open to residents and nonresidents who have purchased a membership or ID card. A Family Aquatic Center Membership can be purchased for $200 by Crestwood residents and for $400 by nonresidents. Individual Aquatic Center memberships are available for $80 for residents and $150 for nonresidents.

ID cards that allow members to pay the daily rate to enter the Aquatic Center cost $5 for residents and $35 for nonresidents.

The Aquatic Center will open for the season on Saturday, May 24.

All passes are good for 365 days from the date of purchase and Crestwood residency must be verified to receive the lower rates.

Seniors age 62 or older receive a 10-percent discount on their membership.
