The county Planning Commission will conduct two public hearings next week on projects in south county.

The commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, in the County Council Chambers at the Administration Building, 41 S. Central Ave., Clayton, to hear the proposals, which are both in the Mehlville School District and in the 6th County Council District represented by Councilman Kevin O’Leary, D-Oakville.

Oakville-based Bussen Quarries is requesting to amend M-3 industrial zoning to Amended M-3 zoning for a 5.84-acre site site at 442 Magoffin Road, next to Bussen Quarry Road.

McManus Construction Inc., represented by attorney John King, is seeking a change from C-8 commercial zoning to M-1 industrial zoning at 4631 Lemay Ferry Road next to Interstate 55 and Mattis Road. The 3.2-acre site would serve as an office and storage space, according to a site plan submitted to the county.
