County panel to consider five zoning requests

The county Planning Commission is scheduled to conduct public hearings on five south county zoning requests next week, including a 21-acre subdivision proposed off Schuessler Road.

The panel also is scheduled to consider a residential-to-commercial rezoning along Telegraph Road in Oakville and a Domino’s Pizza proposed for Watson Road next to Crestwood.

The Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, in the County Council Chambers at the Administration Building, 41 S. Central Ave.

Pulte Homes St. Louis is proposing a subdivision of single-family houses on a 21-acre site along Schuessler Road in Concord and requesting a Planned Environment Unit, or PEU, for the full acreage. In a separate request, Pulte is seeking rezoning from R-1 residential to R-1A residential.

The site is on the south side of Schuessler, 1,600 feet west of Tesson Ferry Road, near St. Anthony’s Medical Center. The subdivision would be in Lindbergh Schools and is in the 3rd County Council District of Councilwoman Colleen Wasinger, R-Town and Country.

In Oakville, Joseph Lopiccolo is requesting a change from R-3 residential to C-1 commercial zoning for a 0.39-acre site at 4511 Telegraph Road at the southwest corner of Telegraph Road and Rolens Drive, next to First Community Credit Union. The site is in the Mehlville School District and in the 6th District of Councilman Kevin O’Leary, D-Oakville.

MBR Crestwood is requesting a conditional-use permit, or CUP, for a Domino’s Pizza restaurant with a pickup window on a 0.36-acre site in the C-2 Shopping District at 8544 Watson Road, roughly 400 feet east of Rock Hill Road in Affton. The site is across the street from both Crestwood and Webster Groves.

St. Louis Hills Auto is requesting an amended C-8 zoning for a 0.4-acre tract at the northeast corner of Gravois Road and Rosemary Avenue — 8511 Gravois Road.

Vehicle repair and auto sales are proposed for the site, which is in the Bayless School District and in O’Leary’s council district.
