The County Council soon will consider whether to approve a subdivision off Wells Road, after the county Planning Commission unanimously recommended the development last month.

The planning panel voted 6-0 at its Oct. 7 meeting to recommend approval of “The Enclaves at Quail Creek,” a 25-home single-family subdivision planned by Pinnacle Land Development LLC.

During a public hearing in September, nearby residents voiced concerns about the development, noting traffic on Wells Road that they already consider dangerous and wildlife that they do not want to leave the area.

The planning panel recommended the proposal, with the stipulation that the company makes some improvements to Wells Road and builds a sidewalk along Wells Road.
