Concord Elementary hosts a ‘Chrome Camp’

Fifth-grade students at Concord Elementary School honed their technology skills by teaching one another during the Aug. 31 “Chrome Camp.” The students learned about exploring, creating, film and video editing, typing shortcuts, Google apps, SeeSaw, Padlet and using add-ons and extensions.

Teacher Adrienne Farmer said that the students emphasized the fifth grade’s motto: “Don’t steal someone else’s struggle!” This motto encourages students to use words to explain how things work to one another, without actually doing the work for their fellow classmates.

“It’s amazing to see them share their knowledge, get excited about teaching others and find new things they never knew were even possible,” she said.
