A benefit concert is planned next month in memory of Marine Cpl. Donald M. Marler, who lost his life earlier this year while serving in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

“Marler Mayhem” will take place Friday, Jan. 7, at the Pageant, 6161 Delmar Blvd.

Performing will be Joe Dirt, Extremely Pointless and High Times & Hangovers. A silent auction also will be conducted.

All proceeds will benefit Fisher House-St. Louis, which recently opened on the campus of the Jefferson Barracks Veterans Affairs Hospital.

Cpl. Marler, 22, was one of three Marines killed June 6 in a single-vehicle crash during combat operations in Afghanistan’s Helmand province. Cpl. Marler, son of David Marler Sr. and Susan (nee Florian) Marler, was a 2006 graduate of Oakville Senior High School.

Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at

or at the Pageant box office.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.
