Bentrup to be first-grade student teacher
Lauren Bentrup of Oakville has received a student teaching position through Mon-mouth College.
A senior education major, she will serve as a student teacher in Carol Kurmann’s first-grade class at Blades Elementary School in St. Louis.
In addition, she recently was honored at the Monmouth College fall sports awards banquet.
The senior goalkeeper was named the women’s soccer defensive MVP. Bentrup holds the school record for saves in a match (34), season (246) and career (461).
An education major, she was awarded an M-Club blanket. The blanket is given annually to those student-athletes who lettered all four years in a sport.
Bentrup is the daughter of Steven and Kathleen Bentrup.
