At a recent meeting of the Mehlville High School Mothers’ Club, the organization voted unanimously to donate $5,000 to purchase new fiction books for the Mehlville High Library.
Mothers’ Club member Kathy Bailey wrote a letter to the organization seeking the donation. After much discussion and the reading of the letter, the Mothers’ Club decided to donate the funds to the library.
Mehlville High Librarian Kim Heyl will survey students to find out what titles and subjects they are interested in reading.
After compiling the results, she will order the books. She hopes to have them in the school library after winter break.
